Access issues are not only humiliating but they're illegal.
Under the Equality Act of 2010, assistance dogs have rights.
It is a requirement for businesses, employers, and landlords to implement reasonable adjustments, thereby enabling assistance dog handlers and their assistance dogs—regardless of whether the dogs are owner-trained or organisation-accredited—to access services on an equal basis with all other individuals.
Information surrounding the rights of assistance dogs can be located on the Assistance Dog Council website. Click here to see more.
