Outcast Assistance Dogs can help you and your assistance dog to become more confident in challenging access issues. We can advocate on your behalf and ensure that you have a voice in the current discussions regarding accessibility. With years of experience fighting access issues, we are confident in making changes across all industries.
Outcast Assistance Dogs is more than just an advocacy group, though.
We understand how isolating it can be to have a disability. When you don't have a traditional organisation to back you up, it can feel really lonely.
This is where OAD comes in.
We aim to connect assistance dog teams across the UK, to share tips, experiences, and ideas.
In time, we will also have an assistance dog trainer, to advise on any challenges you may be experiencing with your training journey. We're all about support.
We're always looking for feedback. Do you want to have an impact on how we function?
Please email us your suggestions.
We understand that the use of tools to train your assistance dog can be a sensitive subject. However, we advocate for the LIMA (least intrusive, minimally invasive) approach to training. If you're force free, that's not a problem, or even if you're a balanced team, that's okay too. We just ask that you keep things respectful, and acknowledge everyone's training journey looks a little different. You won't be excluded from advocacy services if you train a certain way, Outcasts is for everyone.
